► Lunch

There are several options for taking meals at Mainz University.

A special lunch menu option (usually starter soup, main dish, salad and side) has been arranged at Zentralmensa, Staudingerweg 15, 55128 Mainz (walking distance 500 m) for the special price of € 5.00 for all conference attendees during lunch break (payment only via cash!).

At the cantinas of the Studierendenwerk, payment is only possible by the paying app "Bezahl-App: Studiwerk-Mainz" or a prepaid card. You may charge-up this app either via bank account at the latest one week ahead of the conference or at two vending machines at Zentralmensa or Philosophicum. This app will give you access to all other canteens on campus, but in all cases on the basis of the guest price. Guest cards in limited number can be obtained at a vending machine in the Philosophicum.

Alternatively, there are some restaurants on campus or in close walking distance: Baron, Diwan and Kulturcafe on campus, La Oliva, Plaka and few others close by. Unfortunately, there are no supermarkets in the immediate vicinity.
